As a side note, the girls and I are doing OK.  It's much harder than we imagined, but we are leaning on each other, are grateful Joe is no longer in pain and are so grateful for all of you.  We are receiving your posts, phone messages, text messages, emails and FB messages.  Sorry if we don't respond.  Just know how much we appreciate you.

XOXO

  1. For those who cannot attend, do you have a preference for donations versus flowers? So sorry for your loss!

So sorry for your loss ! My love & prayers to all of you ! I went to High School with Joe and I will always remember his friendship and love :) He will be truly missed. I wish I could attend the funeral, but my youngest son will be graduating from High School that week end. My Love & Thoughts will be with you on that day and always !! 5. Dear Joe:

    God looked around the garden
    and found an empty space.
He looked down upon the Earth,
    and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
    and lifted you to rest.
    God's garden must be beautiful,
for He only takes the best.
He knew that you were weary,
and He knew you were in pain.
    He knew that would never
    be well on Earth again.
He saw the roads were getting rough
and the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids,
    and whispered peace be thine.
