Thursday Update

Joe has been moved to a private room. He's recovering well from the surgery. They removed the 1st tube today - his chest drainage plug. He is still on oxygen and has drains from his stomach, along with lots of other connections. Hopefully he'll get some other connections removed tomorrow. He's in pain, but says it's tolerable. They have to take him off his epidural block by Saturday. We're hoping he can have his 1st sip of water within the next couple of days. He can't have anything to eat or drink until certain things start working. Joe and I are overwhelmed by the love, prayers, support and "overcoming the odds" stories. I read each and every one to Joe and he smiles everytime. He is gaining strength to fight this and we appreciate you all fighting along our side. We love you all, Joe, Sherrie and family

    I am sending you both all my love, kisses and prayers and wish I could wrap you both up and hold you tight! (although Joe may not enjoy that right now!) Your are constantly on my mind and can't wait to have you both back home! Joe, God has blessed you with an amazing family and friends and I am so proud to be part of your world! Stay strong, as I know you will, and have faith in God to guide you through! I know he will take care of you always and never give you a hurdle you can't bare. Love you both forever and always!     Joe, Sherrie, Shelli and girls;

    Jack, Garrett and I have you all in our prayers...stay strong believe in miracles... Sherrie if you need anything please call Garrett, he is right there and would do anything for you and Joe even if it may seem silly (like putting gas in your car!!!). I'm not sure what I can say that you have not already heard...We have you in our thoughts, prayers and heart!!! Jack, Tammy, and Garrett
